How cool Yesterday I had to run errands but it was such a beautiful day I stopped by a random spot on the coast to soak up the sun and scenery for a little while before continuing on In just one tide pool I saw this beautiful baby black ribbon eel and more For once I had my phone handy and I got video of the black eel Then as I was leaving I noticed these weird looking moving almost hairy legs sticking out of the rocks I gently moved a couple of rocks and saw the full brittle star How cool See video above I also saw a black and white banded eel sneak under a rock but I wasn t fast enough to get it on video I did sit camera focused on it s rock for a good 5 minutes waiting but it didn t come out I appreciate living here for so many reasons but taking a quick break and seeing something like that is so special My first ever brittle star sighting in person I do recall seeing them on nat geo though
