Ding Dong the Agency s Gone I m going to write a long blog post about this soon but I need to let everyone know immediately about what s been going on About 5 months ago my main source of promoting my Onlyfans Reddit started falling off mysteriously We were just starting to make silly instagram content but it wasn t bringing in many subscribers to my page In the process of searching for solutions I came upon some youtube channels of Onlyfans Management Agencies Now anyone with experience in this industry will tell you to avoid these guys like the plague 99 of them are scams But when you look at big accounts they are all using agencies because you simply can t handle thousands of fans all wanting to chat at the same time while posting consistently to every social media platform under the sun We found one youtuber that we really liked He seemed ethical knowledgeable passionate and creative If we DID hire an agency it would be with him I told Peter once Well we started giving the idea more thought as I was getting overwhelmed trying to respond to messages manage custom requests promote write scripts shoot content edit take care of my cat take care of our home and have time for my passions of guitar and writing about sex work Peter and our videographer helping out too wasn t enough So we interviewed with several agencies until we narrowed them down to 3 And eventually we did a 2 week trial run with the youtuber we liked We felt like he would take good care of our brand and fans We were wrong It was an absolute nightmare Communication was non-existent The chatters had terrible grammar and were using exploitative tactics Their social media accounts for me kept getting banned They were spamming DM s trying to sell PPV s for exorbitant prices and people barely opened their messages anymore He tried to get me to change my brand to be a nurse I like the nurse stuff I shot but it was hard to make content because it didn t feel like me After a stressful nightmare week we had to call it quits It was nothing like we were promised Reeling from this experience I wanted to be done with the whole agency thing and just try managing things ourselves But we were still overwhelmed so we decided to look to hire our own virtual assistant or two Maybe if we could train them ourselves we could make sure they did a good job representing our brand with none of the agency tactics During this process we got connected to a guy Let s call him Mark who offered to give us coaching on how to better promote on instagram Unlike the youtuber he seemed very engaged at first We told him all the bad things the previous agency did and made it clear we wanted to do things differently He made us a good offer to manage our OF and social media platforms Mark told us that he was here to serve us and open to any feedback Well I m still reeling from the past several months as I type this Unlike the youtuber s quick burst of incompetency Mark was a boiling frog in water kind of situation I m feeling angry and embarassed thinking about how long we let this guy stick around I ll save this story for the blog post but suffice it to say everything Mark did was shoddy He kept blaming me for not having enough content or my content not being Frisky enough Meanwhile nothing got done on time and there were excuses for everything He kept pushing us to make a ton of really stupid content for instagram Peter and I had to spend so much time managing Mark that we didn t realize he was making more work for us not less We got so upset with Mark that we passive-aggressively started an instagram series about me ending up with a shitty social media management team We re going to continue the series and it s going to be fun skewering the agency types publicly Mark had horrible strategies for chatting like having someone pretend to be me at 3 am everynight as if I was a complete insomniac sending out a constant hum of Hey how are you how are you how is your morning how is your evening until many of our fans assumed the account was run by bots If any of you have had a subpar experience in the past few months I m really sorry It must feel shitty to not know if the person you are talking to isn t really who they say they are Onlyfans managers say that these scummy tactics are necessary to make sales I think it s annoying as hell I think these dudebros have no clue what actually appeals to people about Onlyfans They re just another example of a long history of men coming in to be a middle man and take a chunk of a sex worker s money Peter and I spent years building this page up ourselves We know better than them what our customers want It s authenticity It s care It s a fun relaxing place to set aside worries and enjoy yourself To practice flirting with a smart woman who treats you with respect I am so done with agencies of any type Never again I don t think Peter and I are a good fit for agencies We care too much about our fans and our content being again But Peter and I started going on long walks together and talking about what we could do And we eventually came to the conclusion that the only thing Mark ever did for us that worked was he found
