Poly-travel Driving through the Vietnamese city of Mui Ne on our bike we saw a couple on a motorcycle overtaking us with a guitar like us we overtook them in response and honked and they did the same again so we rode until we were stopped by the police who were sitting in the bushes and catching tourists They said that we had to pay a fine of 100 dollars since we did not have Vietnamese licenses and we allegedly exceeded the speed limit which was not true The other tourists in front of us from the USA paid the fine and left but we did not even have 20 dollars at that time so naturally we were not going to pay such a fine The police said that if we did not pay they would take our bike to the impound lot to which Miguel replied that do what you want we do not have money anyway And then a couple of tourists on a motorcycle with whom we were riding started talking to the police and in the end they told us to pay only 10 This option suited us and we went on This couple turned out to be from the Netherlands and Argentina they said that they were going to an amazing hostel on the seashore and we went there with them We pitched a tent and at night we were drinking and sitting on the beach by the fire enjoying the sound of the sea with our new moto friends
