Guys I think it s time to rename my OnlyFans to OnlyGardenWork OnlyTrashSorting OnlyTryingToSellACar OnlyExhaustedAndWantToSleep Yesterday was absolutely insane Dasha had a day off and we decided to clean out the shed because thanks to dad it was literally impossible to even step inside He s always been a bit of a hoarder but with age drug use and some clear cognitive decline it s gotten completely out of control he hoards everything Dasha and I thought we d knock it out in a couple of hours and then go play some games and crash Instead we ended up wrestling with that nightmare from 10 AM to 10 PM Inside we found piles of dad s rotting work papers full 20kg boxes of cards vouchers God knows what All of it was moldy chewed up by mice torn apart scattered mixed with trash So we started burning it Not easy it was dense blocks of paper you can t even recycle because it s full of personal data We actually had to build a makeshift smokehouse setup to get it going We wanted to burn it in a barrel with gasoline but of course no barrel Then my brother showed up bouncing around giggling like an idiot helping with nothing It was pathetic After that dad arrived and got mad that we were burning his super important archives yes the mold-covered ones I told him we d only burned one box and if the rest were so important we d gladly carry them to his car so he could take them to his girlfriend s place For some reason he got offended and stormed off We covered the rest of his archives with plastic so the rain wouldn t hit them and kept going The shed was packed with pizza boxes broken chairs disintegrating cabinets just mountains of garbage We even found a whole transformer cabinet in there no idea how that got in It was a total disaster And there s another storage room next to it And after that The garage I m sure dad s archives are waiting for us there too And now for something important a new update for League of Dreamers just dropped and I finished the Wandering Spirit route If you don t know what I m talking about I made a post a while ago about a visual novel that completely captivated me with its delicately written love story I highly recommend scrolling back and giving that a read For those of you who did read it and remember I didn t reread my own post so I don t remember how much of the plot I actually covered and some of what I say here might sound new If anything s confusing or you want to ask more about the story just drop questions in the comments or DM me So to sum it up it s a disaster A total disaster guys It was so bad Seriously this was the worst possible ending they could ve written My main girl Claire didn t even get a choice about whether to help Walter or not Not a single one She just decides internally that she s stronger than temptation and sends the Golden Serpent after Walter Oh and of course the writer made sure to throw in a ton of lines about how Claire and Walter s relationship was dirty earthly how he was her vice and so on All the emotional depth that had built up through the story the delicate bond between Claire and Walter that resonated despite his selfish motives was crushed into the mud by the ending And the ending itself Sloppy rushed idiotic Claire s entire team is wandering around some timeless nonsensical forest stopping constantly to chit-chat with each other and Walter When Walter finally summons the Great Spirit the one he wants revenge on for imprisoning him in the Serpent without any real justification the Spirit just doesn t show up Then in just a few slides the Serpent eats Walter on Claire s command No drama no emotional payoff nothing It felt like some random meaningless event like going to the bathroom The Great Spirit shows up for a couple slides to tell Claire she s strong and did the right thing Claire feels all honored and holy in that moment but to me as a reader this Spirit is a disgusting cowardly tyrant way worse than evil spirit Walter ever was Then we get quick updates on the side characters fates and finally we see Claire now an ultra-wise shaman standing at a canyon thinking about how Walter still haunts her how he poisoned her from the inside but she ll gather herself and move on blah blah blah Honestly it was revolting Removing the player s choice especially when it concerns the main love interest in a visual novel is just insane Why even write a nuanced villain why hint at complex morality if the ending is going to be a steaming pile of garbage Walter was part of nature s balance The Great Spirit whose literal job is to maintain balance imprisoned him out of petty ego because the tribes summoned him rudely insulted him instead of groveling on their knees with pitiful submission and asked for help against Walter and Walter dared to mock him The Spirit didn t care about balance he just wanted to save face and punish someone for insulting him And when it came time to answer for his actions He didn t even show up Coward Tyrant Manipulator And somehow still worshipped Where was he when people were committing real atrocities Walter s misdeeds were barely a drop in the ocean and completely in line with his elemental chaotic nature He was part of the balance and the Great Spirit was the one who violated it He can apparently do anything he wants without rules but only if his ego s been bruised He doesn t care about justice or helping anyone just himself So what was the point of pretending there was gray morality in this story What was the point of Walter s beautiful nuanced arc the chaotic spirit who experienced fear loneliness and despair if the ending just wipes all of it away What was the point of all those subtle scenes where Claire and Walter circled around each other cautiously getting closer testing boundaries Even when the author tried to slap sinful lust labels on Claire s feelings it was clear their connection was delicate mutual and grounded in respect Claire often saw Walter as a victim of injustice Walter was fascinated by her intensity They shared their vulnerabilities She imagined him sitting by the fire with her dancing with her He wondered how she d respond to his thoughts This wasn t about sex or lust or boobs or dicks Their bond was tender equal and emotional And it was all thrown out like trash But the worst part As I said no choice Even though the whole novel hinted that the choice was coming I swear this ending reads like it was written in 20 minutes with a beer in hand And it s not like there were any signs the dev was rushed she even claimed everything was meticulously planned I might have at least partially accepted it if there had been an epic showdown between Walter the Serpent and the Great Spirit But Walter just gets eaten A few slides That s it For context his route is one of the most popular in League of Dreamers In short it s a total mess My friends and I only joked about an ending this bad we didn t think it could actually happen A novel whose biggest strength was a brilliant tension-filled antagonist ended in a pile of crap Enjoy this beautiful fanart I ve added at the end Let that be their real ending in our
