I m trying a new shibori technique today It s called hinode which means sunrise in Japanese I m really excited to try this one out because it s going to create a lot of blue circles and the background will be white As I deepen my shibori practice I want to challenge myself to create works that have more white space instead of blue It s more challenging that way It takes a lot more effort to mask the areas out I can t wait to see how this comes out The fabric has been folded in half to create the circles then get stitched and pulled Later it will be wrapped around a pole I know this sounds abstract right now but it makes more sense when I post more pictures
