My favorite places are quiet outside and warm I don t sit still a lot but when I do I like to see what shapes the clouds are watch the butterflies float from flower to flower I like to observe grasshoppers climb along blades of grass and rub their tiny legs together I could be content watching a spider build her web for however long it takes Sometimes I like to lay flat out in the grass even though I know I ll be a little itchy when I get up I often count the different types of birds I can hear and take care to see how long I can watch deer graze with my horses before they hear or see me I ve never gotten tired of blowing dandelions to make a wish and I don t waste an opportunity to pick pretty wildflowers growing freely in my fields Not one single time have I ever thought I should have gone inside to watch television sooner nor have I ever had a nightmare about flowers or the way a summer breeze carries the scent of freshly cut grass I hope you take the time to let the outdoors refill your cup too It s a beautiful thing to see those beautiful things around you
