Hello fellow book lovers Today I want to share my thoughts on love in Erich Maria Remarque s novel The Three Comrades I love this novel especially for its heartfelt story of a lost generation But you know while reading it I wondered about the love line and the characters Could such a courageous and unwavering love really be real However it turns out that things are not as smooth as they seem After watching an interview with Remarque himself I learned that his own marriage was far from happy My romantic ideals suffered from this discovery Lines from The Three Comrades made me think For it would be disgusting if love had anything to do with truth And maybe that s why the heroine of the novel couldn t live a happy life And yet despite the reality I continue to believe that true love exists even if it s just pure fiction of fiction How do you feel about this topic Share your thoughts in the comments
