I went to a coffee tasting the other day They had coffees from all regions of the island It was so interesting to learn how coffees from different soil qualities produce entirely different flavors The trees and spices which are grown in conjunction to the coffee plants will come out in the flavor of the coffee My favorite coffee was a bean called Peaberry which refers to the pea shape of the bean as it s technically a deformed bean having both lobes moulded together It naturally happens and makes a percentage of each harvest Historically these beans are often discarded But because of their small size they re sweeter and have a lighter and more smooth taste It makes a very mild and delicious coffee in my opinion
