I ve loved all the conversations about birthdays recently After hearing what a lot of you think about your own birthdays I thought I d share more about how I feel about mine Having spent most of my life abroad I ve met some of the most amazing people and honestly I feel so lucky It s like I traveled the world to find the best kind of friends The downside They re almost never in the same place So birthdays have often felt a little off far from family friends and that classic idea of how you re supposed to celebrate And that s the thing I think birthdays usually come with a lot of pressure expectations norms what it should look like But the more I ve reflected and after a year of maybe one too many existential wanderings the more I realize what s truly worth celebrating isn t a date it s being alive I for one don t wait for one day a year to do that I celebrate life in how I live explore grow and connect Every Damn Day But I do find my birthday to be a special reminder to live a little Speaking of living it up If you haven t seen my latest video send me a dm and I ll send it right over
