All of us wear masks armor But what I realized is that being vulnerable is a strength that most of us fear It takes courage taking off all the defenses and letting people see you for who you are Sometimes I feel a tremendous amount of fear in revealing my feelings I want to immediately seal myself in a shell so I don t take any chances But there s always a quiet voice in the back of my mind that says I ll miss out on so much more if I m too careful As long as you hide behind masks and images people who feel the same way will have a hard time finding you Sometimes opening up is not a weakness but a manifestation of true strength
